2005 BMW “Dakar”

This is my 2005 BMW ‘Dakar’, – I’m riding this bike to Alaska (the Arctic Circle) this coming summer (7/15) – It’s one of the most durable/rugged bikes in the world. Rene Cormier rode a 2003 model around the world, 75,000 miles – Mine has a ‘650’ engine, twin spark plugs, Heidenau “dual-surface” tires, “Jesse-Odyssey’ luggage system, GPS, after-market chain, sprockets (17-tooth on the front for increased milage), and ceramic brakes… plus, a “Denali-horn” that can wake the dead.
